Mylezia Focuses On Self-Worth in “Party Of One” Music Video

Wilmington, Delaware R&B artist Mylezia drops the music video for her self-esteem building single, “Party Of One.”

On the Ricodaproducer-produced ballad, the singer and songwriter shine the spotlight on herself as she aims to promote self-love, despite any challenges or pains.

Mylezia begins her first verse: “I don’t mean to sound too complicated, got some inner issues I am trying to face. Popularity so overrated. Isolation is my oasis. When I’m alone I feel free, I’m not a social casualty. No oh! I’m fine on my own don’t need a hero, I’m flying solo.”

In the clip, shot by Will Ngo, Mylezia enjoys some well-deserved R&R while focusing on the message of the song.

Ngo says about the video’s direction: “I just wanted it to be clean, focused on Mylezia, and intimate.”

“Party of One” couldn’t have landed at a better time. We all need to love ourselves so we can learn to love and share with others.

HHS1987’s own Rick Dange linked up with Dougie this week for an exclusive rundown of how he made each of the records he produced for Meek Mill. On this episode of “Behind The Beats” Dougie breaks down step by step how he created “Issues” off “Wins & Losses”. The record was co-produced by Cardiak.

HipHopSince1987 Presents “Behind The Beats” With Dougie (Interview)

Philadelphia has always been a city known for its strong musical heritage.  From producers to artists, young to old, Philly has always made a mark in the industry.  One young musician that has been steadily making a name for himself in the city of Philadelphia is Dougie aka Dougie On The Beat.  This week, HipHopSince1987’s own Rick Dange linked up with Dougie for an exclusive interview.  The two discussed a bunch of topics including how Dougie became a producer and how he got his name.  Dougie explained to Rick Dange about how he was able to stay out of trouble growing up in Philly and spoke about making a name for himself by working with Philly artists such as Kur.  Dougie also talked about upcoming music that he produced that will be dropping soon, and went into detail about all the new music that he has coming out with Philly’s favorite rapper, Meek Mill, as well as how they actually met.  Dougie produced 2 records that will be featured on Meek Mill’s new album “Wins & Losses” which drops on July 21st.  He also produced “Save Me” for Meek Mill which was featured on his last project “Meekend Music 2” which dropped on July 4th.  Dougie gives valuable advice to up and coming producers about ways they can get in the game and also about never giving up.

In the first chapter titled “The Rebirth” and co-starring Dr. Folarin, we see a birth of a young boy, as what appears to be his father, wounded from a gun shot, looking on. Wins & Losses the album drops this Friday (July 21).

Late last year, Gucci Mane appeared on Chris Brown’s Heartbreak On A Full Moon single “Party” that also featured Usher. The favor is returned six months later, as Guwop and Breezy connect on their brand new collab “Tone It Down.” Keeping the recent trend alive of popular flute-based records, Gucci heads straight to the clubs on his latest banger, as Chris Brown does double-duty of rapping and crooning on the song’s hook.

Gucci’s Drop Top Wop album is out now, while Chris Brown’s forthcoming double LP is due later this year.

JAY Z ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, ‘4:44’

Hovi’s coming. After a few mysterious “4:44” ads appearing across the nation earlier this month, TIDAL has officially confirmed its connection with JAY Z’s upcoming 13th album, 4:44. Dropping on June 30, exclusively on TIDAL, the release coincides with TIDAL and Sprint’s new campaign, honoring 6 complimentary months of TIDAL to new Sprint customers. Above, a new track, “Adnis”, inspired by Jay’s father, plays as actor Mahershala Ali trains in the black-and-white trailer for the project’s film, also starring Lupita Nyong and Danny Glover. Hov’s sure had a great week. Last Thursday, he was inducted in the ‘Songwriters Hall Of Fame‘ and it also has been confirmed that he and wife, Beyonce, welcomed their twins earlier in the week. MEEK MILL – SAVE ME (SONG PREVIEW)

Meek Mill takes to IG to preview an upcoming record possibly called “Save Me.”

It’s safe to say Meek Mill is putting in that work right now. Coming off the release of his Meekend Music EP last month & hitting us with two more songs after that called “Glow Up” & “Whatever You Need” with Chris Brown & Ty Dolla $ign, the MMG rapper is currently working on his third studio album at the moment called Wins & Losses, and on Friday night we get a little taste of what he’s been cooking up.

Taking to his Instagram page, like he often does, the MMG rapper decided to share a clip of an upcoming record, which based on the caption could be titled “Save Me.” The slow tempo record looks to be produced by Dougie On The Beat, but other than that that’s all we know for now.

It’s freaky Friday for Tank fans!

The R&B General returns today with a sultry new single titled “When We,” and it’s ready to hit your playtime playlists.

Over a slowing revolving production with heavy drums and snaps, the singer/songwriter gets his partner in the mood for some deep penetrating love making.

“I like it when you lose it / I like it when you go there / I like the way you use it / I like that you don’t play fair,” he sings.

Using a soft, falsetto tone Tank gets even more explicit with his commands, but the aggressiveness still comes off tender as he sings, “Face down, ass up / Back back back it up / Now let me get both of them legs and put them both behind your head.”

The crooner has been working on his upcoming album ‘Savage‘ which he has been teasing on Instagram this year.

New Video: DJ Khaled Feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller “Wild Thoughts”

DJ Khaled’s Grateful album is now exactly one week away. The star-studded ‘musical event’ is set to hit stores on June 23, and the DJ/producer is giving fans another potential smash-hit set to take over the charts. First teased recently when photos surfaced online, DJ Khaled has landed the Rihanna vocals, getting the pop superstar on the song “Wild Thoughts.” The song, which samples Santana’s 2000 smash-hit “Maria Maria,” also features R&B singer Bryson Tiller. The sizzling collaboration also comes with a vibrant music video, directed by Colin Tilley. Filmed in Miami’s Little Haiti, Khaled and RiRi dance through local the market with kids, before connecting with the ‘T R A P S O U L’ singer for a fireworks-filled performance shot.

Grateful includes previously released collaborations with Jay Z, Beyoncé (“Shining“), Drake (“To the Max“), Chance The Rapper and Justin Bieber (“I’m the One“).
